How to give tablets to Discus

Here is my method for administering medicines in tablet form to our favorite fish. The condition is that discus like tubifex (tubificid worms) and that’s why we’re using it in this case, but this solution works for all types of freeze drieds that have a high grade of absorbency.
The method is very simple, the object is to be able to crush and dissolve the tablets as best as possible and to do in a way that the tubifex or other freeze drieds totally absorbs the product. Another advantage is that the Discus do not realize the possibility of new flavors, because they eat from the outside in.
Before I used this method, every time that I finely crushed the tablet I lost part of it as soon as I introduce it with the fodder in the tank. Instead of doing this, I get the freeze dried food to absorb the tablet completely… at this point micro-pulverized.
The following objects are needed:
A) Mortar, for this purpose the gift container from an Easter Egg (found all over Italy) works well, because the container has a spherical base the product can be crushed well without stagnate points;
B) Pestle, I use a metal penholder. Also the old BIC pens could be used or even a pencil with a rounded end… not the pointed end;
E) And of course… the tablets.
AND CRUSH IT WELL WITH THE PESTLE
SECOND PHASE: ADD SUFFICIENT WATER
(DON’T OVER FILL THE CONTAINER OR ELSE IT WILL LEAK WHEN THE LIQUID IS SQUIRTED INTO IT)
AND DISSOLVE THE TABLET USING THE SYRINGE. FILL AND EMPTY THE SYRINGE WITH THE LIQUID REPEATEDLY INTO THE CONTAINER USING DELICATE FORCE,
UNTIL IT BECOMES A MILKY-FOAMY CREAM.
THIRD: MAKE HOLES IN THE TUBIFEX
FOURTH PHASE: FILL THE TUBIFEX
GOOD APPETITE!
